What is a Concierge?

A Concierge is person who feels they can provide a service in their local area to others in that area whether they may be locals themselves or tourists. The range of services possibilities are vast ranging from bicycle tours, local cooking classes or simply meeting you at the airport and getting you to your hotel.

What is a Traveler?

A Traveler is someone that would like some help from a person who proposes to know the area.

What do I do?

Use the site to browse locations for services of interest. You can search by keyword, language spoken by the Concierge, country and by predetermined categories. Once you have found a Concierge/service of interest you can contact the Concierge with questions or to make arrangements. You must be a registered user to contact a Concierge using the website.

What is the Dashboard?

Every registered user has a dashboard. It will be different based on whether you are a Concierge or a Traveler. Every dashboard will show notes sent to you. You can delete each note by clicking the delete icon. You may reply to the note's sender by clicking the reply icon.
If you are a Traveler then you will also see any Concierges that you have added to your favorites list. You can add a Concierge to your favorites list by viewing there profile and selecting the menu option to add them as a favorite. From the dashboard you can delete a Concierge from this list at anytime.
If you do not wish to receive notes from a particular sender you may add them to the blocked sender list which is also shown on your dashboard.

What about my uploaded pictures?

All pictures uploaded to this site MUST be of good taste to be determined solely by the staff at Raggedpassport. Any photo containing nudity or any sexual content will result in removal of the service or account cancellation. See cancellation policy in the User Agreement section.
We are not responsible for the pictures that you have uploaded. We will do the best we can to keep those pictures but in the event of system problems we will not be able to return your images to you. You should have copied of all images uploaded to this site.

How do I contact a Concierge or Traveler?

If you are a Traveler and you find a service that interests you there will be a menu selection that will allow you to write a short note to the Concierge. The note system is through the website alone. Once your Concierge logs onto the site he will see new messages and have a chance to respond. For more direct contact please feel free to exchange email accounts or phone numbers but using the site for communication will provide you with a degree of privacy protection. Concierges cannot contact a Traveler first. The initial note most come from a Traveler account.
If you do not wish to receive notes from a person you can add them to your blocked sender list and you will not receive anymore messages from that person. You can remove a person from your blocked list at anytime.
IMPORTANT NOTE: In NO circumstance should you reveal personal details to a Concierge that you have not met and whom you don't trust completely. Beware of scams where you are asked to send money or disclose bank details or other personal details!
Raggedpassport IS NOT responsible for any activities of Concierges and YOU should use good judgement when dealing with people you don't know - we don't know them either!

Reviewer comments

Each Concierge has a unique reviewer key. Ask for this key as soon as you can and use the website to verify the key.
You may use this key to write a review of a Concierge. Once submitted another review cannot be submitted for two weeks.

Concierge Rating System

Each Concierge has two types of ratings shown like this (0:0). The first number is the average rating that the Concierge has received for all the comments he has received. the Second number is the number of comments that the rating is based on.
A Concierge having a rating of 8.0 based on 25 reviewers may be better than a Concierge with 8.0 with only reviewer. Use your best judgement.

Reporting offensive materials or images.

If you find any material offensive please us the link provided to report it to use. We will investigate the entry and remove it if it violates our user agreement.
